Homemade Ice Cream
Homemade ice cream recipe — vanilla with caramel and caramelized pecans – I made it this way, but you can add whatever toppings you like or flavor it however you want (cocoa, pistachio paste, chocolate chunks…).
You don’t need an ice cream machine, and it only takes 5 minutes to make (then it obviously needs time to freeze).
400 g Sweetened Condensed Milk
500 g Whipping Cream
Vanilla, to taste
Whip the cream until fairly stiff, and in a separate bowl, mix the condensed milk with the vanilla. Gently fold the whipped cream into the milk mixture in 2–3 stages — and that’s basically your vanilla ice cream done.
On top, inside, or swirled through it, you can add — like I did — caramel sauce and caramelized pecans, or… other flavors, depending on your taste.
Either way, the ice cream needs to freeze for about 6 hours, and then you can cool off with it!
